Being a part of DECA allows you the student to apply for scholarships that are exclusively set aside for DECA members.  The BEST place to look for DECA-related scholarship opportunities is at this link:

IMPORTANT:  Most Scholarship Applications must be submitted no later than January 18, 2012.

NEW CHANGES:  Most DECA related scholarships are now applied for on line!  The on line application is at the national DECA website page http://www.deca.org/scholarships/

The next best place to look is DECA’s 2012 Scholarship Guide. This is mailed to every DECA Chapter Advisor by the end of October,  2011.  It is not only filled with scholarship information, but it includes these great tips:

In addition to the scholarships offered through DECA or the corporate sponsors associated with DECA,  New Hampshire DECA members are also able to get scholarships from the following  colleges:

Southern New Hampshire University

Plymouth State University

Johnson and Wales University

These colleges also offer scholarships to the first, second, and third place winners of specific competitive events at the NH DECA State Career Development Conference (“States”) every year.  Please check with the college, or email nhdeca@gmail.com for information and further details.

Rivier College also offers scholarships to New Hampshire DECA members who attend the State Career Development Conference (“States”).

The following scholarship is open to every DECA member, providing they meet the criteria:

The Harry Applegate Scholarship is offered every year to a number of DECA students nation-wide.  Students apply on line by January 18, 2012.  Those who are finalists for the Students  applications approved at the State level will be forwarded to DECA Inc., where they will be evaluated.   Students selected to receive the scholarship will be notified before the national ICDC.  Applegate Scholarship recipients will be eligible to attend the International Career Development Conference  in Salt Lake City, Utah, in April 2012.
