HERE IS SOME NEWS EVERYONE SHOULD BE AWARE OF FOR THE CONFERENCE!   :-)

:-) WEATHER UPDATE:  FROM SATURDAY TO WEDNESDAY THERE IS CHANCE of mixed sun and rain…

:-) WE ARE IN THE “HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS EAST”  which is on Alliant Drive, Jeffersontown (suburb of Louisville)….remember the street as there are a number of Holiday Inns in the area….

:-) BUS TRANSPORTATION:

***The bus from our hotel to and from the Kentucky Expo Center is the #6 Bus: NEON PINK COLOR CODE (how nice for us!) Our Hotel is the Holiday Inn Express East in the bus listing.

***If your chapter is renting a van or car, parking at the KEC is as follows: $6 fee with NO IN-OUT PRIVILEGE! (OUCH!)  Best DEAL:  Get the $36 Conference Pass with UNLIMITED IN-OUT  privileges at the KEC parking pass booth near the Headquarters area.

***Be aware that on our bus route there are five other hotels, so plan accordingly.  Allow at least 40 minutes to get from the hotel to the Kentucky Expo Center, where the events are held. Then allow another 30 minutes to locate and get to your event and sign in…

:-) ***BUS ROUTES AND TIME SCHEDULE:  there will be a bus pick up time schedule in the hotel lobby!

Saturday, April 24 Routes 2 – 9 KICC (downtown) 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.*

All Routes Kentucky Exposition Center 5:30 p.m. – Midnight*

Sunday, April 25 All Routes Kentucky Exposition Center 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.*

Routes 2 – 9 KICC (downtown) 5 p.m. – 11 p.m.*

Monday, April 26 All Routes Kentucky Exposition Center 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.*

*Last departure to return to the hotels.

:-) SAFETY: Louisville is basically a safe city, however never travel alone, and make sure your advisors know where you are (and vice versa). Use the BUDDY SYSTEM!

  • Doors open at 6 p.m.; ticket required; no re-entry!!!!
  • Enter the Kentucky International Convention Center (KICC) (downtown) at Third and Market into the Riverside Lobby
  • Opening act featuring Amber Leigh, 7:30 p.m.
  • Lady Antebellum takes the stage at 8:30 p.m.

:-) SMILE!!!  THE OFFICIAL NH DECA STATE ICDC PHOTO  WILL BE TAKEN ON TUESDAY, APRIL 27th, at the KEC, at 7:10 PM, before the AWARDS Session!  Wear your Blazer!!!!! Every chapter will receive one free copy of the photo….you will have an opportunity to buy additional copies if so desired!  GET THERE BY 6:50 PM to get set up and arrange positions!
