Southern New Hampshire University, Plymouth State, Johnson and Wales University, and Rivier College all offer generous scholarships to winners at this year’s State Competition.  And even if you don’t place in the top three in your event but just participate, you are eligible for scholarships at some of the schools.  See this year’s State Conference Program for a listing of the specific scholarships for each event category.

LOUISVILLE PREVIEW

It won’t be long ’till the winners from this year’s CDC will be traveling down south to Louisville, Kentucky for the National DECA ICDC.   There will be the competitive events, exhibits and workshops, as usual, but even more is planned: New Hampshire DECA students can go to the Kings Island Theme Park in nearby Cincinnati, famous for having some of the best roller coasters and rides in the United States (sorry Walt.)   State winners will also attend the Louisville Bats baseball game,  and have tickets to the DECA-only Lady Antebellum Concert.  Then there’s always White Castle, which alone is worth a trip to Louisville!

gordon | February 12, 2010

Marketing III Students Jana, Haley, and Ashley demonstrate a team role play for Marketing students at the Alvirne High DECA chapter.  They focused on methods of evaluating the business case situation, and presenting ideas to the judge.  Their team is psyched. Though their demo was about Travel and Tourism marketing, the three will be in different categories when they get to the state competition in March!
