Where are some of our former New Hampshire DECA members now? We took a look at a few of them, and they seem to be doing pretty well!
Here is a sampling of some of our grads!
They can be found everywhere!
Brandy Bourassa: Former State Officer and Johnson Wales Graduate Brandy Bourassa has certainly put her Marketing/DECA training to work for her! While she was on a DECA scholarship at Johnson and Wales she was in the top ten at the National DEX Conference twice. Shortly after graduation she was hired by Raytheon full-time in a marketing position working in supply chain. Recently, she left Raytheon to become a Program Coordinator for Alene Candles in Milford, NH. DECA was a great spring-board for Brandy, and the DECA family wishes her continued success!
Gary Burns: Works for Walt Disney Company in Orlando as Documentation Development Director, where his job takes him from Florida to California , from Germany to Hawaii- examining company operations, and developing procedure manuals for such diverse areas as electrical parade floats or character costume design. Gary also is trained and certified to be a pyrotechnician (shoot fireworks;) he has run a successful DJ business, been a concert and event promoter, and worked at Canobie Lake Park as a Special Event Production Designer. He is a grad of Southern New Hampshire University.
Kathleen Bolton: Former NH DECA State Officer (two terms!) Kathy attended DECA conferences in Denver, New Orleans, and Boston, as well as Anaheim. She was a finalist at the ICDC in her senior year. She went on to UNH, worked at Marriott in the hospitality industry, and now is Operations Finance Manager at Raytheon in Massachusetts. Countless hours developing and practicing presentations and promotion plans with DECA were a big assist in future career success.
Pat Sage: Manager of Dick’s Sporting Goods in Nashua- the top grossing unit in the region! Using his marketing knowledge, Pat has become a merchandising master at a very popular sporting goods outlet. He has kept developing his managerial, leadership and team building skills to create a very successful store with a great atmosphere. Pat attended DECA conferences in Anaheim and was part of the team that helped develop the Creative Marketing Workshop with Universal Studios and New Hampshire DECA in the 1990’s.
